Students who qualify under the U.S. Department of Agriculture income guidelines may receive meals free or at the reduced-price of:

  • $.30 Breakfast

  • $.40 Lunch

Students may receive free school meals if you receive SNAP or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF). Most foster children can receive free price meals, regardless of your income.

Students who are declared homeless by the Homeless Liason Contact Person or KIT (Kids In Transition) contact person can also receive a free meal.

Students may qualify for free or reduced meals depending on your income and number of people in your household.

You may apply at any time during the school year if your household size goes up, income goes down, or if you start receiving SNAP, FITAP, or other benefits, or become homeless. If you lose your job, your child may be able to receive free or reduced price meals.

To receive an application for free or reduced-priced meals:

Every household with a student enrolled in a Archdiocese of New Orleans school participating in the National School Lunch Program will be given an application at registration, book day or on the first day of school.
